#13 Why IRL Events Matter for Your Brand
In this edition, I invite House of Marketing, a private marketing club, to talk about their experience hosting IRL events in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. You'll also find a surprise at the end of the post... 🥐
HOM (House of Marketing) is a community-powered network for marketers, creatives, and entrepreneurs building bold careers and ventures. We exist at the intersection of creativity, culture, and business—curating intimate IRL events where real conversations spark new ideas, collaborations, and opportunities. Since launching in April 2024, HOM has grown to 300+ members across London, Paris, and Amsterdam—and we’re just getting started.
The Vision and Mission of HOM
Our vision is to shape the future of marketing through connection, creativity, and co-creation. Our mission? To accelerate growth and inspire serendipitous collisions—between people, ideas, and opportunities. We believe in making marketing more human. And we do that by fostering spaces where value exchange is real, creativity is celebrated, and people feel empowered to show up as their full selves.

We believe in making marketing more human. And we do that by fostering spaces where value exchange is real, creativity is celebrated, and people feel empowered to show up as their full selves.
Why HOM x TLDL?

That’s why tl;dl x HOM works. We’re both here for the serendipitous moments that happen when you get the right mix of people in the room—and let them talk, dream, create. And sometimes, saying something out loud that gives someone else a breakthrough.
Lifting each other up. Working side-by-side. It’s about sharing ideas.
And not just in a professional sense, but personally too—because connection is the foundation of creative energy, and marketing at its best is about people, storytelling, and value exchange.
This partnership is rooted in that belief: that when you bring great people together, magic happens. ✨
Because the truth is, creativity thrives in collaboration. Some of the best ideas aren’t born in brainstorm decks or strategy slides—they’re sparked in casual conversations, over shared drinks, or in those electric little moments where one person says something that lights up a whole new thought in someone else.
Where HOM brings the community spark, tl;dl brings the content and tools that help people and brands work smarter and think deeper. Together, we’re not just co-hosting an event—we’re building a space for co-creation, collaboration, and new ideas to emerge.
Partnering with tl;dl was a no-brainer. Both HOM and tl;dl believe in meaningful connection, clarity of thought, and creating experiences that cut through the noise.
And that’s what HOM is here for.
Collaboration isn’t just a nice-to-have. It’s the engine. It’s the DM that turns into a new project. The drink that turns into a breakthrough. The connection that shifts the way you think—for good.
Community gives marketing cultural relevance—and staying power. It’s where ideas are shared, refined, and taken further than one person could’ve pushed them alone. At HOM, we believe marketing isn’t just about selling—it’s about storytelling and value exchange, and the best way to get to that is through people.
Marketing is evolving. People don’t just want campaigns—they want connection. And the best ideas? They rarely come from working alone.
